Guests frequently praise the hotel's convenient location near Deer Valley and Main Street, as well as its clean, cozy accommodations. However, dissatisfaction often stems from the perceived value, with significant complaints regarding hidden fees for breakfast and WiFi.
It was a very clean, beautiful hotel. Workers very warm and welcoming. Things we were sad it lacked was no vending machines to get a drink late at night. Hallways are a bit confusing. Parking was a little crazy. Pool was heated but only outdoors so only if weather permits. Loved the small game room. The decor throughout was fun and unique.
We have stayed at several hotels here in park city over the years. This was by far the worst of them. (never had a bad experience at any of them) Pros: - Easy check in. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Cons: - WiFi costs extra. Free breakfast was an extra charge. Coffee maker had to be plugged in by the bathroom sink. Jets in hot tub didn't work. Dirty pool bottom. Watery gross eggs. Small buffet selection. For the same cost of other places we've stayed, it was a much less pleasant experience. If you want to be nicked & dimed for low quality. This is the place. If you want to pay a fee & have nice amenities at the original price, I would look elsewhere. At check out, we were offered (more) cookies, which I declined. Then obliged to 1 extra, at which point the front staff handed my kids 3 & said I couldn't say no because she was my mom? Weird. We already had them the day before. I should be in charge of my family, not the hotel staff. I know they were just being nice, but it was overall a very strange interaction with her stepping on my toes, calling me her son? Safe to say that was our 1st & last time staying here for sure. Great central location, but that's about it.
In Park City’s allure, I did reside, At DoubleTree Hilton, I tried to abide. As a Hilton Gold, I’ve roamed far and wide, But their 1800 Café was where my humor applied. The hotel's location boasts stunning bliss, Next to a store—no grocery list amiss. The room staff? Pros, with smiles that glisten, Yet in the café, oh boy, a punny lesson! For breakfast, you’re safe, perhaps a croissant or two, But steer clear of lunch, it’s more like “beef fondue.” Tried Beef Wellington, oh what a plight, With flatbread for dough—what a shocking sight! I’m no beef judge but pre-cooked’s not neat, Their “dough” turned this meal a sad, cheesy feat. The Caprese sandwich, simple yet grand, They turned into “Cap-ruined,” not what I'd planned. The server, bless him, was lost in translation, The manager absent, causing frustration. Charged $25 for a dish that smells wrong, This beef joke went on just way too long. With room views that stun and staff to commend, The café’s cuisine? Hard to defend. Advised to dine elsewhere, it’s not a debate, In Park City, seek other food on your plate!
Yarrow has become our favorite hotel whenever we hit the slopes at Deer Valley or Park City! Its location is super convenient, with free shuttles getting us to both resorts in no time. Plus, it’s just a stone's throw away from Park City’s Main Street, which is packed with great restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is so cozy, quiet, and clean—exactly what we need after a long day of skiing. But what truly makes our stay special are the long-term employees who treat us like family. Mike at the front desk is a gem! His warm hospitality always makes us feel right at home, and we love our chats with him. He’s just delightful! And let’s not forget breakfast—when Edgar is in the dining room, it’s always a treat! He’s incredibly efficient and full of energy, making sure we have everything we need to start our day off right. Seeing Edgar brightens our mornings, and we know we’ll be well taken care of. Returning to Yarrow is always a joy, especially when we get to see Mike and Edgar again. We feel so lucky to have such wonderful people caring for us during our stays, making each visit truly amazing!
The negative reviews about this hotel are somewhat true. The hotel is darker, more dated, and more confusing than the pictures show. Upon check-in, we were a bit let-down. The lobby itself is nice, but the rooms are older than portrayed. On the bright side… great location and pretty clean rooms… also, The staff were mostly awesome. We booked with Sebastian, who was friendly but apparently misunderstood many of our requests. However, Audra at the front desk was a godsend and very understanding when we wanted to leave early. She even took off some fees for us. Won’t be back though.
